V4 Supercharger Spotted

There have been some sightings of the new Tesla V4 Supercharger station cropping up as the EV company prepares to upgrade their older models.

MarcoRP (@MarcorRPTesla on Twitter) was able to dig up the dimensions and mocked us up a rough comparison image late last week:

And although Marco was unable to get a shot of the V4 in the wild, Drive Tesla has us covered with some shots of the new stations installed at Giga Nevada, and at the Frito-Lay’s facility in Modesto, Californias. The V4s are likely there to service the new Tesla Semis that PepsiCo purchased for that facility.

We know that the current V3 Superchargers are getting a power boost to 324kW soon, so it’s not likely we’ll see the wide scale adoption of the V4 stations for a bit, but we do know that Tesla was aiming for these almost 7ft tall monsters to put out at least 350kW, which will be a huge benefit to Tesla drivers once they start getting rolled out.

Until then, it seems like these shiny new Superchargers are for private use only.
